International Caspian Oil and Gas conference underway in Baku

The First Vice-President of SOCAR, academician Khoshbakht Yusufzadeh chaired the morning session dealing with production and exploration prospects in the Caspian region.

The session featured presentations covering such issues as development of Caspian gas reserves, construction of a new technological platform to increase the production volume from Deepwater Gunashli field, political and economic foundation for the exploration, development and transportation effectiveness, laws to attract foreign investments. The final session of the conference is themed around the Caspian gas infrastructure and geopolitics of pipelines.
