Colorful painting ideas turn barrels into piece of art [PHOTO]

Painting a metal barrel with an interesting design can be a cumbersome task, but Azerbaijani artists do so for a good cause and welcome the challenge.

Local artists turn barrels into beautiful pieces of functional art within an environmental art-project "H. E. Art", aimed at greening of Baku.  The project is realized by "Heath Environment and Art" and "Arts Council Azerbaijan", Trend Life reported.

The project allows to use metal barrels in an environmentally responsible manner as well as to develop creative thinking. Bright painting ideas turn metal barrels into colorful and beautiful yard decorations.

Funny characters, images of birds, insects or exotic animals, flower designs and geometric patterns, stripes and ethnic motifs are excellent painting ideas for decorating and recycling metal barrels.

"Metal barrels are very elegant and modern, and fit well into any architectural style", said  Dadash Mammadov, project designer.

"Colorful barrels are perfect addition to the urban landscape. Such ideas are a wonderful way to reuse and recycle metal barrels and transform used metal barrels into stunning centerpieces of yard landscaping. This is also one of the most effective ways of urban gardening in the challenging small spaces that are impossible or difficult to redesign," he added.

The mobility of barrels allows to quickly move them to new locations. These art objects also attract the attention of tourists and locals.
