Azerbaijani artists captivate Paris

Art enthusiasts are well aware of the Art Shopping trade show held in Paris twice a year. The event, which offers a selection of works to both see and purchase, brought together more than 450 artists and galleries presenting works of contemporary art.

So many exhibitors from throughout the world, including Azerbaijan, become part of this mega show hosted at Carrousel du Louvre on October 21-23. 

National artists Asmar Narimanbekova, Maryam Alakbarli and Azer Aliyev have displayed their impressive and unique works at the exhibition arranged within the Art Shopping show.

Narimanbekova was born in a family of eminent artists. Her father Togrul Narimanbekov, was world-famous Azerbaijani artist, while her mother Elmira Huseynova was a sculptor.

This amazing artist really has a talent for using her hands to create an amazing works. Her paintings are distinguished with a riot of colors, and interesting imagination of the world.

Asmar Narimanbekova's works are featured in many prestigious galleries and museums not only in Azerbaijan, but also in America, France, Germany, Poland, Russia, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Finland, and China.

Another talented artist, who displayed her works, in Paris is Maryam Alakbarli.

While suffering from Down's syndrome, her paintings are distinguished by a strong sense of composition and high level of creativity. Using her intuition the artist achieves results that take many years of education for others.

Alakbarli chooses colors masterly. Her tool is, first of all, intuition of a great artist, supported by practice. Her inherent feeling of color distinguishes her art. Using her intuition the artist achieves results that take many years of education for others.

The artist's works have earned big success both in her motherland Azerbaijan and beyond its borders including Germany, Italy, Russia, Turkey Lithuania and France.

Addressing the ceremony, director of the exhibition hall Myriam Annonay Castanet highlighted the importance of the exhibition, adding works by Maryam Alakbarli would be sold for the first time. Castanet said exhibition of Maryam Alakbarli, will again cause great interest of the audience.

Azerbaijan`s Ambassador to France Elchin Amirbayov spoke about the importance of exhibition, saying this already turned into a tradition and was the indicator of success of the young artist.

Art critic Jeanette Zwingenberger highlighted the uniqueness of Maryam's works.

The works by Azerbaijani artist Azer Aliyev are also in the center of public attention in Paris.

Azer Aliyev`s works have been displayed in more than 40 international and national exhibitions.
