The musician performed "Karabakh shikestesi " song, as well as "Rast "and "Bayati-Shiraz", two of the seven main mughams of Azerbaijan`s folk music.

At the event, composer Khadija Zeynalova informed the German public about the features of the Azerbaijan national music, the art of mugham and national musical instruments, especially tar , one of the ancient stringed instruments.

The German public met the performance of musicians with great interest.

Vahid Tarzen  studied at Baku Music Academy named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli. He was the soloist of music band "Azconcert". Besides, he was teaching at Baku Music Academy.

The musician worked with many famous composers and singers.

Khadija Zeynalova  is  graduate of Baku Music Academy. Zeynalova is a member of Azerbaijan Union of Composers.  Since 1999, she is professor at the University of Music Detmold and the  Paderborn University in Germany.

The tar is one of the most beautiful instruments in Azerbaijani culture and is played with a mediator. It is made from mulberry, walnut and pear trees, and the face of the instrument is made from cattle heart membrane. Its strings differ by thickness and composition.

The musical instrument plays significant role in the development of mugham art today. In mugham operas solo singing is performed with the accompaniment of the tar. Azerbaijani composers wrote many major concerts with the use of the tar and the orchestra.
