Exhibition of Dutch photographer Mitkin to open in Baku

An exhibition of famous Dutch photographer Arkady Mitkin will kick off in Baku in October, Azertac reported.

Organized by the Culture and Tourism Ministry, the nine-day exhibition will be held as part of the Baku Jazz Festival.

Arkady Mitnik grew up in Kiev, Ukraine. He got education as Electrical Engineer.  Throughout his life, the photograph has changed many places and countries.

Currently, Mitnik lives in The Netherlands.

Jazz music, skiing, cycling, sports, traveling - these all part of his colorful life. He tries not to miss any interesting festival.  The photograph also publishes articles in famous music magazines and thinks about the production of some jazz projects in future.

A number of acclaimed jazz singers, including Deborah J Carter Quartet, Plunge jazz trio,Gabriel Grossi Trio, Antonio Lizana Group,   and others  will join the Baku International Jazz Festival  to be held from October 22 to 30.

The festival aims to showcase Azerbaijan's long-running attachment to the American-born art form, a connection first established in the country during the 1950s and 1960s, during a time when jazz was outlawed by Soviet authorities.
