'Cultural heritage in pictures' due in Baku

"Cultural heritage in pictures" project will soon be launched in Baku, Trend Life reported.

The project aims at promoting Azerbaijan's rich cultural heritage, including national architecture, theatres and museums, as well as familiarizing foreigners and local citizens with the work of contemporary artists.

The project is implemented by the Youth Development Public Association "Absheron" with financial support of the Culture and Tourism Ministry.

In the framework of the project, exhibition of works by young artists will kick off in Baku’s  Art Villa  gallery on August 26-27.

"Cultural heritage in pictures" will help to enhance the role of youth in promotion and preservation of national cultural heritage as well as to attract the attention of a new generation to the samples of cultural heritage.

To participate in the exhibition, one must provide photographs related to the architecture, monuments or national traditions of Azerbaijan.

Photos should be sent to the following e-mail: [email protected] until August 22, 2016.

Each participant may send up to five photos.

Submitted photos must be at least 3,000 pixels and in JPEG format without any sign or watermarks. You must have all the copyright on the photo.

A person participating in the project shall indicate its full name.

Moreover, pictures must be taken in the last three years. Photographs will be printed and displayed by event organizers.
