Korean Film Festival comes to Agdash

After having been to Azerbaijan’s Ganja, Lankaran and Sumgayit regions, the Korean Film Festival made a stop in Agdash on July 31.

Ruhangiz Heydarova, the chairperson of SEBA (Seoul-Baku) Association addressed the latest leg of the tour, describing the importance of the Festival.

Korean Ambassador to Azerbaijan Choi Suk-Ying, for his part, stressed the national values of both countries and highlighted steadily developing relations between Azerbaijan and Korea.

The festival has been underway in the country since July 6 and will last until August 15.

The First Korean Film Festival was held in Baku in 2005.

This year, the festival featured some 10 Korean films produced between 2008 and 2013. These films were dubbed into the Azerbaijani language with the support of SEBA (Seoul-Baku) Azerbaijan-Korean Cultural Exchange Association Public Union

The last destination of the festival will be the country’s picturesque city of Gabala on August 7-15.

Korean Film Festival is jointly organized by SEBA, the Azerbaijan-Korean Cultural Exchange Association, and the Korea Fund, with support from the Korean Embassy in Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan and Korea have had very close relations in many fields, including culture.

SEBA, which seeks to realize large-scale cultural exchange programs between Azerbaijan and Korea, was established in 2004. So far, the organization has implemented several projects in the fields of science, health, and culture.
