Works of Singer of Nature to display

Singer of the Nature, so is called one the most brilliant artists of Azerbaijan, Sattar Bahlulzada.

He was a unique master of the landscapes. Relying on the national motifs, he created his own unique style.

In 2014, Azerbaijanis will mark the 105th birthday anniversary of splendid national artist.

To celebrate this remarkable day, the opening ceremony of his solo exhibition will be held in Sattar Bahlulzada house-museum at 12:00 on November 7.

The artist's thirty works kept in private collections and his other unpublished graphic works will be featured during the exhibition.

The works which will be put on display have been published in the "Sattar Bahlulzada-105. Graphics" (Baku, 2014) catalogue.

The exhibition will host representatives of Azerbaijani Culture and Tourism Ministry, Azerbaijan Association of Artists, Azerbaijan State Culture and Art University, Icheri Sheher State Historical-Architectural Reserve and many others.

Name of Azerbaijani People's Artist Sattar Bahlulzade is always pronounced with admiration in the country. Remembering the artist, a dark face with unusually alive, even glowing and transparent eyes come into one's mind.

This unique artist has always stood alone in the history of the fine arts of Azerbaijan. His works are full of love for creativity as well as originality.

After his father gave him a set of crayons, Sattar began to draw everything he saw around him.

The outstanding artist's paintings are hung in many museums around the world. His solo exhibitions have already been held in Baku, Moscow, Prague, Tbilisi and in many other cities throughout the world.

His love for Azerbaijani classical poetry, especially of those by prominent Azerbaijani poets of the XVI century is reflected in a series of paintings, portraits and sketches.

The brilliant artist brought ?? new imaginative solutions in the history of Azerbaijani art, which are fundamentally different from the conventional interpretation.

Bahlulzade's unique heritage is not only his paintings, drawings, sketches, but also his personal diaries in which he wrote about his teachers, meetings with famous artists and the problems he faced. Presently about 40 of his diaries have been published.
