Baku to screen Italian films

Italian movie enthusiasts will have a chance to enjoy watching their favorite films in Baku.

Festival of Italian Films will be held in Cinema 28 with the assistance of the Italian Association of N.I.C.E. and the Swiss Embassy in Azerbaijan. It is part of the Week of the Italian Language in the World to be held from October 20 to 25.

The festival will show six movies: "La Grande Bellezza" (The Great Beauty), "Nuovo cinema Paradiso" (Cinema "Paradiso"), "La Vita e bella" (Life is beautiful), "Il Capitale Umano" (Human capital).

The film "The Great beauty", winner of the Oscar 2014 will be screened for the first time in Azerbaijan.

Italian actress Anita Kravos is a guest of honor of the festival. The event is expected to contribute to the strengthening of relations between Italy and Azerbaijan in the sphere of culture.

Earlier, Baku hosted festivals of English, Soviet and Japan films at the 28 cinema, as well as the Future Shorts festival of short films, that gained public attention.
