Javad Khan movie screens in New York

The movie Javad Khan was demonstrated at the Eyup Sultan Cultural Center in New York.
Chairman of the New York-Azerbaijan Association Ercan Yerdalanli provided an insight into the movie, the State Committee on Diaspora Affairs told AzerTAc.

The Javad Khan movie`s director Rovshan Almuradly and Screenplay writer Sabir Rustamkhanly, head of the Cultural Development Center, organizer of the event Garay Alibeyov addressed the ceremony. They touched upon Javad Khan`s role in the history of struggle for independence of the people of Azerbaijan.

The movie narrates on the fight against the Tsarist Russia troops and heroic death of Javad Khan and his sons in the early 19th century.

The movie was watched by representatives of the diplomatic corps, employees of the Azerbaijan`s permanent mission to the UN, representatives of embassies of Turkish states, as well as Azerbaijanis living in New York.

After the demonstration of the movie, Ercan Yerdelenli and Head of the New York Cultural Center Telman Jalil presented diplomas to the film makers.
