Azerbaijani composers’ works to be played in Int'l Festival

On April 5-7, the XI International Festival “Europe and Asia” will be held in Kazan.

In the frame of festival seven concerts will be performed and the concerts will include works by composers from Azerbaijan, Sweden, Switzerland, Croatia, Vietnam, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Japan, China and Russia.

At the opening of the festival to take place in the S. Seydasheva State Concert Hall, will be performed “Metamorphoses” by Chairwoman of the Union of Composers of Azerbaijan, People's Artist of Azerbaijan, Professor Frangiz Alizade.

The festival will also see performances of the works of Azerbaijani composers – “Mugam” by Fikret Amirov, “"Rondo” by Jahangir Jahangirov, “Poem” by Ertogrul Javid, "Suite" for string orchestra Sardar Farajov, “Capriccio” by Dadash Dadashov.

At the invitation of the Chairman of the Union of Composers of the Republic of Tatarstan, the People's Artist of Russia Rashid Kalimullin, secretary of the Union of Composers of Azerbaijan, Honored Artist Sardar Farajov will participate in the festival as a guest of honor.

Works by Azerbaijani composers will be performed by Medina Shahgeldieva (kamancha) and Sevinj Kerimova (piano).
