A concert was co-organized on Wednesday by the Embassies of France and Germany in the Azerbaijani-German cultural center Kapellhaus as part of the German-French culture days.
Prior to the concert, ambassadors of France and Germany to Azerbaijan Herbert Quelle and Pascal Monye hailed the organization of cultural events in Baku. They noted that both embassies in Azerbaijan decided to mark 50th jubilee of Elysée Treaty with a joint cultural programme.
“Fifty years ago, German Chancellor Konrad Adenauer and French President Charles de Gaulle embraced after signing the Franco-German Friendship Treaty. Since then, the partnership between the two countries has become one of the cornerstones of European stability.”
A conference entitled “Reconciliation and Friendship between states: Germany and France” in the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy was held on Tuesday to the effect. The concert featured performance of Farida Mammadova (soprano), Ilaha Sadigzade (piano) and jazzman Salman Gambarov./Trend/
