Azeri musicians join int'l festival

Azerbaijani delegation for the first time participated in the 46th International Music Festival Martisor 2012 in Chisinau, Moldova. The delegation included Azerbaijan People`s Artists Malakkhanum Ayyubova (soloist), Mohlat Muslumov (tar, Azerbaijani national music instrument), Fakhraddin Dadashov (kamancha, Azerbaijani national music instrument), soloists of the State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater Ilaha Afandiyeva, Chinara Shirinova, Afag Abbasova and concertmaster Roza Mammadova.

Azerbaijani mugham trio and Ilaha Afandiyeva performed in the grand concert organized in Moldovan National Chamber. Azerbaijani musicians gave concerts in Gagauzia`s capital Comrat and the Moldova State Philharmonic on Friday and Saturday accordingly.

The concerts were attended by Moldavian officials, parliamentarians, heads of the diplomatic corps accredited to Moldova and international organizations and representatives of the Congress of Azerbaijanis in Moldova and mass media. According to the Azerbaijan Embassy in Moldova, the festival brought together music ensembles from more than 30 countries.
