Baku hosts national seminar on road safety

A national seminar on road safety was held here as part of the cooperation between Azerbaijan Ministry of Transport and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP).

According to the press service of the Ministry, the aim of the seminar was to organize discussions and experience exchange among representatives of related bodies operating in road safety and preparation of the State Road Safety Strategy and to introduce participants to international experience on road safety, especially programmes of Asia and the Pacific region.

The seminar brought together officials of the Cabinet of Ministers, Azerbaijan Ministry of Transport, Azeryolservis Open Joint Stock Company, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Heath, the State Statistics Committee, the Azerbaijani Country office of the World Health Organization (WHO), Azerbaijan Technical University and the Swedish National Road Consulting Company.
