Azerbaijan's major enterprises to move to International Accounting Standards

The transition of the Azerbaijani major enterprises to International Accounting Standards (IASs) will soon be considered, the Head of the Azerbaijani Chamber of Auditors Vahid Novruzov said on Friday.

"The state agencies led by the finance ministry take all necessary measures in this regard," Novruzov said.

To date, among the large state-owned companies, only the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) moved to the IAS.

The Third Eurasian Forum of Accountants and Auditor opened in Baku today.
"The forum will provide an opportunity to share experiences of Azerbaijan, as well as foreign countries," Novruzov said.

Today, 250 individuals and 50 entities are members of the Azerbaijani Chamber of Auditors.
