Azpromo attends international conference on WAIPA’s invests

Azerbaijan Export & Investment Promotion Foundation “AZPROMO” participated in a conference of the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA) in Geneva.

The conference was attended by representatives of state organizations and private sector, generally by 300 people.

It was devoted to economic development, investment, financial reform and the financing of investment, innovation and green technologies. Azerbaijan was represented at the event by the President of Azpromo Adil Mammadov. The conference exchanged views on the status and prospects of cooperation between Azpromo and WAIPA.

Note that, The World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA) was established in 1995 and is registered as a non-governmental organization (NGO) in Geneva, Switzerland. As for the 1st of July 2008, the Association had 228 member agencies from 156 countries.

WAIPA acts as a forum for investment promotion agencies (IPAs) to provide networking opportunities and facilitate the exchange of best practices in capacity-building and investment promotion.
