SOCAR president: SOCAR pays great attention to security

Ensuring SOCAR facilities' safety is an important area of activity, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev said at the opening ceremony of a new administrative building of the Security Department.

The building is located on Nobel Prospect in Baku. There are state inspections of court and port controls (82 staff positions), the department of special equipment (more than 100 full-time units), the management office (21 full-time units), and other departments.

Abdullayev said that SOCAR facilities' safety is ensured at a high level.

"Therefore, we always pay special attention to this area", he said.

There are a number of facilities of national importance, including oil and gas processing enterprises, main gas pipelines, petrochemical plants, offshore platforms, and underwater infrastructures. All these are on SOCAR's balance.
