Customs Code of the Azerbaijan recommended to parliament’s discussion after the 3rd reading

The draft on "Customs Code" was discussed at the 3rd reading of today’s meeting of the Committee on Legal Policy and State Building of the Parliament discussed eceiving information about the courts" for the third reading.

Along with the MPs, Head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan Roland Kobia, chairman of state customs committee Aydin Aliyev, UNDP representatives, as well as heads of several NGOs functioning in Azerbaijan took part in the meeting.

Customs Code draft was discussed at the meeting. It was noted that technical amendments were made in the document after the 2nd reading.

Ali Huseynli, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Parliament’s Committee for Legal Policy and State-building said that admission of new customs code is a part of state program on increasing fight and transparency against corruption. Electronization process has been totally reflected here too.

Thereafter, MPs spoke about the draft, expressed proposals and opinions about it. The draft of the code was recommended to parliament’s session for the 3rd reading.
