Azeri ICT Minister meets UNESCO chief

Azerbaijani Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov has met UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova. The meeting took place as part of the 3rd meeting of the Broadband Commission for Digital Development in France.

They exchanged views on an international conference on Impact of Information Technologies on Education, which is scheduled to be held in Azerbaijan this fall. UNESCO Director General praised Azerbaijan's hosting such an event.

Bokova also noted the importance of organizing international training courses and realizing projects on Internet.
