Baku to host CAREC next Ministerial Conference

The next ministerial meeting of Asian Development Bank (ADB) Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Program will be held in November, Baku, said the Samir Valiyev, head of administration of the Ministry of Economic Development, CAREC national coordinator on Azerbaijan.

According to him, the 10th anniversary of CAREC Program will be celebrated this year and al events within the program will be held in Baku: "The highest level event of CAREC is Ministerial Conference and this event will be held in November, Baku".

Speaking about the next works to be conducted during next 10 years Valiyev also noted that, trade, transport and energy spheres will be priority spheres and ecology sphere will be also included into these spheres.

The Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program is an Asian Development Bank (ADB) supported initiative which was established in 1997 to encourage economic cooperation among countries in the Central Asian region.
