
Military expenses will be increased by AZN 39 735 000 million and will reach AZN 1 364 796 025 in Azerbaijan’s state budget for 2011.
It was envisaged in the draft amendments and annexes to the state budget of Azerbaijan for 2011 submitted to the parliament.
AZN 1 270 857 361 is allocated for Defense Ministry, AZN 92 932 391 for the defense forces including State Border Service. AZN 34 506 900 will be allocated for the salaries and pension provision, AZN 188 014 055 for the expenses on strengthening the country’s defense potential, AZN 3 374 102 for other expenses on application of new tariffs in housing service, utility service, communication service etc, AZN 49 163 227 for strengthening material-technical supply. AZN 88 955 665 of the funds for defense expenses will be spent on national security measures, including AZN 86 955 665 on National Security Ministry, AZN 2 million on material-technical supply. AZN 2 326 428 will be allocated to the Ministry of Defense Industry for applied research in defense, AZN 2 656 571 for other expenses.
Interior Troops and Special State Security Service in the defense expenses section of the budget are financed under the section of law-enforcement bodies. AZN 62 862 743 is allocated for Interior Troops, AZN 68 300 702 for Special State Security Service.
AZN 1 087 000 000 is allocated for special defense-purpose projects. Totally, the military expenses of Azerbaijan will make up AZN 2 582 959 470 ($ 3 270 000 000).
