AZN 364 000 of counterfeit banknotes recalled from illegal circulation in Azerbaijan last year

Counterfeit banknotes amount to AZN 364 000 was recalled from illegal circulation in Azerbaijan last year, said the government of Azerbaijan in the report to the parliament.

Due to sustainable measures against the economic crimes, 32 cases of counterfeiting money and securities were identified and 30 people were detained. 4637 counterfeit banknotes totally amount to AZN 364 000 was recalled from illegal circulation.

There were 2361 banknotes of Azerbaijani manat, 2251 banknotes of US dollar, three notes of euro and 22 notes of Russian rubl among recalled counterfeit money.
