Inflation reaches 5.7% in Azerbaijan

Consumer prices and tariffs for services increased by 1.4% in Azerbaijan in December 2010 compared to November, the State Statistics Committee reported. The figure increased by 5.7% in 2010 compared to 2009.

Food prices rose by 2% in December, while non-food products by 0.9%, tariffs for services by 0.2%.

In 2010 compared to 2009, food prices rose by 7.2%, food prices - 2.3%, while tariffs for services - 4.3%.

In December, the base consumer price index, increased by 0.8% compared to the previous month and 3.5% - December 2009.
