Azerbaijani delegation to join Black Sea Economic Forum

The Black Sea Economic Forum will open in Yalta on November 26-27, bringing together over 250 government and business representatives as well as experts and media from the Black Sea region countries such as Ukraine, Russia, Georgia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, Moldova, Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Almost 70 investment projects, beneficial for Crimea, will be discussed at the forum, according to Aleksandra Gontar, press officer of the event.

The Black Sea Economic Forum is a high-level continuous platform for dialogue among leading government and business stakeholders of the Black Sea region organized under the auspices of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych by the Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

The Forum contributes to investment attractiveness, economic growth and competitiveness of the Black Sea region overall and Crimea in particular.

Investment potential of the Black Sea region will become one the key thematic blocks of the panel discussion of the Black Sea Economic Forum. Crimea has become a strategic region for investors: about 13 billion USD of potential investments can be attracted into the economy of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea as a result of realization of 70 perspective projects.

Moreover, realization of investment projects will raise 1.7 billion USD of additional taxes and duties by 2019, and will create and save over 25,000 of jobs.

The key investment projects include construction of large health resorts with year-round occupancy, yacht marinas, airports in Simferopol and Kerch, seaports, large traffic interchanges and highways, construction of wind power plants, agriculture projects – cultivation of cereal and technical crops, restoration of irrigated lands etc.
