Azerbaijan to allocate 3 bn. 287 mln US $ to military expenditures next year

Azerbaijan will allocate 2 630 169 341 AZN to financing of Armed Forces, other military units considered in legislation and militarized organizations.

It includes defense expenditures, “court’s activity, prosecutor and law-enforcement bodies” and Defense Ministry, Ministry of National Security, Ministry of Defense Industry, Ministry of Emergency Situations, State Border Service, Special State Protection Service and State Courier Service financed from other functional units.

855 416 839 AZN for Defense Ministry, 89 306 570 AZN for State Border Service, 43 023 292 AZN for servicemen’ salaries and pensions, 39 043 919 AZN for strengthening material technical supply of armed forces, 83 303 463 AZN for Ministry of National Security, 2 200 246 AZN for Ministry of Defense Industry, 2 656 571 AZN are considered for other categories. Moreover, 1 bn. 087 mln. AZN is predicted for special defense projects and events.

63 391 596 AZN will be allocated for Special State Protection Service from the state budget of 2011, 61 157 395 AZN for Interior troops, 2 315 236 AZN for State Courier Service , 91 243 964 AZN for Ministry of Emergency Situations. As it was in 2010, means are not considered for events held within the framework of PfP and IPAP held within North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

Note that, Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Actions - ANAMA – implementing humanitarian mine clearing operations is not in this list. Remind that, 7 bn. 400 000 AZN is considered especially for ANAMA in the budget of 2011.
