Azerbaijan presents 47 projects in 4th Environmental Project Olympiad

On April 7, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) President Rovnag Abdullayev received in Baku participants of the 4th Environmental Project Olympiad, held by INEPO-Avrasiya organisation among schoolchildren.

SOCAR is a traditional sponsor of this event.

Abdullaev declared at the reception that the company carries out active ecological policy, in particular, has already implemented program of clearing of 40,000 ha of oil-polluted soil.

“We are pleased over expansion of popularity of the Olympiad and activity of Azerbaijan schoolchildren. In particular, 47 projects were prepared by Azerbaijan schoolchildren out of 300 presented ones during this year,” Abdullayev said.

Representatives of 17 countries took part in the first Olympiad, 30 - in the second one, 31 ones - in the third, 33 countries were involved in the fourth Olympiad.

A special cultural program on Azerbaijani history was prepared for its participants.

Abdullayev handed gifts to the participants.
