Azerbaijan's Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies will issue a 3G service license to Azercell Telecom.
Ali Abbasov, Azerbaijan's Minister of Communications and Information Technologies, said Azercell has recently sent a letter of application to the ministry with the required documents to get a license.
"It turned out during discussion that several other documents are required. Azercell will get the license after submitting all the documents,” he added.
According to the regulations approved by Azerbaijan’s Cabinet of Ministers, in order to get a license for 3G mobile services, an applicant shall submit a document about the stages of putting the network in operation, specifications of network equipment, information on zone coverage and types of services, experience in a 3G experimental zone, as well reference showing availability of the applied radio frequencies as approved by the State Commission for Radio Frequencies.
The license fee is 11 000 manats.
