Azerbaijan ready to make discount in gas prices for Turkey: SOCAR

Prior to the meeting State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) Rovnag Abdullayev said in an interview with a local TV channel that Azerbaijan is ready make discounts in price of a gas supplied to Turkey.

“Talks between the parties continue. I can not say that they proceed smoothly. Azerbaijan is ready make price discounts for Turkey. But the price must be acceptable to us. It should not be lower than the price that exists in the domestic market of Turkey. Once this isue is solved, other matters can also be negotiated,” he said.

“The sides are discussing the details of long-term contract. Each item of the contract takes much time to negotiate,” he said.
