Azerbaijani president inaugurates "Shusha" tanker

The Head of State was welcomed here by Chief of the Azerbaijan State Caspian Shipping Company Aydin Bashirov.

President Ilham Aliyev was informed that the tanker was constructed in Nizhniy Novgorod`s “Krasnoye Sormovo” plant.

The tanker will mainly be used in shipping Kazakh oil to Sangachal Terminal to be transported from here via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline after Heydar Aliyev.

The ship is 150 meters in length, 17.3 meters in width and its carrying capacity is 13 thousands tons.

President Ilham Aliyev viewed the ship captain's bridge.

The Head of State was also informed that the ship was equipped with modern navigation facilities.

The President then pushed the start button officially inaugurating the tanker, and wished successes to its crew members.

The Head of State also gave certain instructions and assignments.
