First forum of sovereign funds adopts Baku Declaration

Baku Declaration was approved in Baku on Oct. 9 as a result of the international forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds to continue development of stable financial system and free capital and investments movement.
During the forum Azerbaijani Minister of Finance Samir Sharifov said that sovereign funds have great potential to create the platform which allows continuing a dialogue with private sector and corresponding organizations.  

Participants of the forum discussed different issues during current world financial-economic crisis and exchanged views on investment climate for sovereign investors.

The next forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds will be held in Australia in May 2010.
