SOCAR launches new oil well

Azeri Drilling Company has put into operation a new high debit well for State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
SOCAR reports that well 759 at field “The 8th March” with design depth of 5,800 m ensures debit of 70 tons of oil and 12,000 cu m of gas a day from depth of 5, 650 m.

The field was discovered on 8 March 1984 by well 556 with daily debit of 450,000 cu m of gas and 80 tons of condensate. Today the field has 7 operating wells with overall debit of 500,000 cu m of gas and 180 tons of oil and condensate a day.
