Ilham Shaban: "Azerbaijan Economic Development Ministry has made an unreal forecast"

He said this ministry is constantly listing maximal numbers.

"For example they predict the inflation rate to be one-digit, but later, by official statistics, inflation rate in Azerbaijan makes 17%. Such forecasts are dangerous for economy", considers Shaban.

He noted that for 2009 the Ministry predicted three scripts in case of changes in the world oil prices and according to the most pessimistic, oil price must make $80 per barrel.

"$110 per barrel is predicted by the average variant and $125 by the most optimistic variant. Naturally, all this is far from the reality. All leading world institutions say that the financial crisis has not reached the bottom, where growth starts, yet. In Russia the oil price for 2009 was predicted at $66, for 2010 at $63 and for 2011 at $60", said Shaban.
