3336 foreigners permitted to work in Azerbaijan in 2008

3336 foreigners received individual permissions for working in Azerbaijan in January-September of 2008, said Rauf Taghiyev, chief of department of migration under Azerbaijan's Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.

He said, 281 foreigners got permission to work in our country in August and 253 foreigners in September.

"Most people, who are eager to work here are from Turkey. Foreigners are mostly engaged in the oil and construction sectors and so on", said Taghiyev.

It should be noted that 722 foreigners got permission to work in the country in January, 632 in February, no one got permission in March, 443 foreigners in April, 442 in May, 330 in June and 233 in July.
