Azerbaijan ranking fourth among former USSR states for Corruption Perceptions Index

Transparency International has released the rating of countries for the level of corruption held among 200 states on September 23.
Azerbaijan takes the 158th place with 1.9 thus ranking fourth among the CIS and Baltic States by its negativeness.

According to Day.Az, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan with 1.8 have worse indicators.

The best index among the post-Soviet countries is in Estonia (6.6). The rest countries have the following indicators: Latvia (5.0), Lithuania (4.6), Georgia (3.9), Moldova and Armenia (2.9), Kazakhstan (2.2), Russia (2.1), Tajikistan and Belarus (2.0).

The first on the list are Denmark, Sweden and New Zealand (1 place with 9.3 points). In these countries corruption is on the lowest level. They are followed by Singapore (4 place, 9 points), Switzerland and Finland (5, 9). The United States occupy the 8th place on the list with 7,3 points. Belgium and Japan have the same index.
