WB to lend $248,800,000 to Azerbaijan

The World Bank passed a decision to allot new credits to Azerbaijan.
According to the press service for the Bank, Azerbaijan receives a package of two loans in the total amount of $248,800,000 for improvement of the water pipe and sewerage systems in 21 regional centers, including five in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

A larger $230,000,000 credit in the package is alloted by standard terms of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development-the head organization of the WB group and the remaining $18,800,000 by the channels of the International Development Association-daughter organization of the bank, engaged in the privilege crediting of the indigent countries.

By the channels of the International Development Association Azerbaijan will get another big credit in the amount of $26,700,000, aiming at strengthening the system of social protection of the population.
