European Commissioner on Energy: "Russia's possible participation in Nabucco project is ruled out"

"Russia is working at implementation of its own project -South Stream", he told reporters, according to RIA-Novosti.

It should be reminded that Nabucco pipeline is projected by the European Union as an alternative of gas transit via Russia.

It will help supply gas from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan via the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey to Europe, bypassing Russia.
