Representatives of the negotiation group on Azerbaijan's accession to the World Trade Organization will be visiting Geneva on April 21-26 to take part in a training envisioning a number of bilateral talks, including Norway, South Korea and probably with some other countries.
The due announcement was made by Mahmud Mamedkuliyev, deputy foreign minister of Azerbaijan, head of the national delegation on talks on country's accession to WTO, commenting on Azerbaijan's accession to this organization.

"Besides, a meeting of the work group on Azerbaijan's accession to WTO. There is a preliminary agreement on the meeting with the United States, it is scheduled for May 5 and the meetings with other countries will possibly be held", said he.

He note that nearly eight countries are negotiating with us.

"India and Norway have joined the talks and introduced their proposals. Therefore, we will probably hold discussions with them", said the Deputy Foreign Minister.

He said regarding the talks with the European Union that in case of positive response from the European Commission, the group will leave Geneva for Brussels  to hold talks on the spot.

He refused to elaborate on terms of Azerbaijan's accession to the European Union saying that everything would depend on the results of talks in Geneva.

"If we manage to hold this meeting on a high level and a decision is made to create conditions for preparation of the due document on Azerbaijan, I think this  will mean that we are already advancing towards accession to the WTO", said Mamedkuliyev.
