IMF proposes recommendations in the sphere of tax policy to Azerbaijan

The due announcement was made by Valeria Fichera, head of IMF mission, paying a two-day visit to Baku, during the press conference yesterday.

She said the diagnostics of the tax administration in the country was carried out in the framework of the mission. "The Fund confirmed its intention to assist to tax bodies in this direction, including, in the sphere of observance of the tax legislation", the head of the mission said.

She also noted that IMF observes the activity of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan and considers that it regulates the oil revenues successfully.

"However, the fact of favorable world oil prices should be taken into account. Yet, it does not mean it will last forever", the head of the mission said.
