Azerbaijan has halted gas exports to Georgia since January 6, AzeriGaz president Alikhan Malikov.
“Azerbaijan has fulfilled its committments under the expired agreement. Negotiations are ongoing to sign a new agreement,” he added.
According to him, the selling price of natural gas may be different in the new agreement.
“In the new agreement, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) may be a seller and AzeriGaz a transporter,” he noted.
Azerbaijan charged Georgia $120 per 1,000 cubic meters of natural gas under the previous agreement.
