Russian shipyard to built another tanker for Caspian Shipping Company

The Nijegorod shipyard Krasnoye Sormovo has concluded a new contract with the State Caspian Shipping Company of Azerbaijan on the construction of project 19619 tanker.

According to the press service for the Group for Offshore and Oil and Gas projects, the tanker is planned to be delivered in October of 2008.

As is reported the project 19619 tanker is  of the river-sea class and is equipped with 12 cargo tanks and one waste tanks. It has ballast sections in double decks and double floor. The sailing autonomy makes up 20 days.

The ship is designed for transportation of crude and oil products with an explosion temperature of less than 60 degrees.

It will be possible to transport several sorts of oil products simultaneously.

The tanker is designed for operation in various weather conditions, in regions with moderate cold climate. The ship class is KM L1 1 A1 of the Russian Marine Register.

The contract with the Caspian Shipping Company on the first tankers was concluded in 2002. The tankers President Heydar Aliyev, Babek, Shah Ismail Khatai, Ker-Oglu, Dede Gorgut had been delivered to the customer by 2006. They are currently successfully operating in the Caspian Sea.
