Jose Luis Herrero Ansola: "Oil revenues can be directed to development of other sectors"

"These opportunities should be directed to the development of other sectors. Development of oil sector is not enough. New structures and mechanisms in the spheres of economy, politics, legislation and civil society should improve," Jose Luis Herrero Ansola, head of the OSCE Office in Baku told journalists.

Diplomat underlined that economic development will help reduce poverty in the country.

"I witness improvements in all spheres, including investments in infrastructure, construction boom and legislative reforms," he said.

Jose Luis Herrero Ansola took up his position last month. Prior to this post, he worked in Kosovo, Rwanda, Haiti and Geneva, APA reports.
