13 March 2007 [23:15] - TODAY.AZ
Azerbaijan's Prime Minster Artur Rasizade convened a meeting to discuss the problems made Azerkimya state-owned chemicals maker to shut down.

The meeting decided to offer favorable conditions to Azerkimya, to write off its debts, and activate its frozen bank accounts. The subsidiaries of the plant will also restart Wednesday.

Azerkimya shut down on January 25 because of the energy prices rise in the country, saying it sold its products under the terms of agreements concluded before the price jump and all the products had become 'loss leaders.'

Azerkimya and its subsidiaries employ more than 8,000 people. APA-Economics
