SOCAR President meets with ISO Secretary-General

Briefing the guest about the oil industry of the country, Rovnag Abdullayev said the company takes firm step toward application of international standards, environment and labor security and Caspian Oil and Gas Construction Trust, Heydar Aliyev Baku Refinery, Oil and Gas Engineering Institute and Training Center received ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001 certificates.

Alan Bryden said application of international standards is necessary for Azerbaijan to deliver its crude oil and oil products to the world market.

Azerbaijan has become a full member of ISO since 2003. ISO promotes the development of standardization and related activities in the world with a view to facilitating the international exchange of goods and services and to developing cooperation in the spheres of intellectual, scientific, technological and economic activity.
