German companies keen on cooperation with SOCAR, Steinmeier says

Rovnag Abdullayev said the relations between Azerbaijan and Germany have recently deepened and penetrated oil industry as well, SOCAR told APA.

Steinmeier said German companies and SOCAR have business cooperation in oil recovery, refinery, engineering, procurement etc, adding that President Ilham Aliyev’s recent visit to Germany will further strengthen ties between the two nations. He noted that German companies engaged in energy sector are keen on cooperating with SOCAR.

Issues on EU energy security, diversification of energy sources and pipelines were discussed at the meeting. The minister stated that his country has great hopes for Azerbaijan in this sector.
