Proposals to limit phone talk time in Baku sent to Tariff Council

16 February 2007 [08:30] - TODAY.AZ
The proposals to limit excessive home telephone use have been submitted to the Tariff Council.

Communications and Information Technology Minister Ali Abbasov said there is an imbalance between current communications tariffs and real cost price of services and the Ministry developed concrete proposals to remove the disproportion.

The proposals envision two points - increase of subscription fees and free limit for socially disadvantaged group of population.

"The free limit is proposed to be 450 minutes a month. If approved, a subscriber will pay for excessive inter-city talks after their 450 minute-limit runs out. It is up to Tariff Council when the proposals will come effective," he underscored, APA reports.
