Russia and Azerbaijan to cooperate on banking supervision

The Bank of Russia and the National Bank of Azerbaijan have signed an agreement on cooperation in the sphere of banking supervision.

According to Russia's Central Bank, the agreement was signed in order to sustain stability, development, and the strengthening of national banking systems in the two countries.

Russia and Azerbaijan will cooperate on the banking supervision of crediting organizations and their cross-border affiliates. The sides have agreed to exchange necessary information and keep it confidential.
