Azeri managers to be trained in Europe

National Confederation of the Entrepreneurs (Employers') Organizations of Azerbaijan Republic (AEC) has been chosen as local partner on the "Managers' Training Programme IV" (MTP 4) funded by the EU.

The Confederation told the APA that experts from the program offices in Russia and the UK will carry out manager selection in Azerbaijan on January-25-26.
24 of the 60 applications will be chosen for the training. 35 Azeri managers will be trained through the MTP 4 during 2006-2008.

The "Managers' Training Programme IV" (MTP 4) is a Tacis project, financed by the European Union. In total the EU is spending 12 Million Euro on MTP 4.

This comprehensive, progressive and sustainable management training programme aims at improving the performance of economic enterprises of all branches in the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Moldova and Mongolia. MTP 4 is designed to enhance economic development in these countries by qualifying individual managers and enterprises.

It enables them to react adequately to the challenges of profound changes caused by economic reforms and transition to market economy.

The programme consists of a number of training components that are all designed to increase the stock of qualified executives in the participating countries.

MTP 4 has its focus on training of individual top, middle and junior managers.
