64.1% of housing stock privatized in Azerbaijan

In Azerbaijan 389,500 flats (21m square meters in total) have to date been privatized by people and this figure makes up 64.1 percent of total housing stock, as of January 1, 2007.

State Statistical Committee told the APA that the privatization process rated active in Baku, Sumgait, ganja, Mingechevir, Absheron, Gakh, Gusar, Goychay, Masalli, Kazakh, Khanlar, Sheki, Barda, Khachmaz, Ujar, Oghuz, Terter and Tovuz.

11,400 flats (726,700 sq m in total), including 7,100 in Baku were privatized by people in Azerbaijan during the period of 2006.
