Railroad traffic resumes between Azerbaijan, Georgia

Railroad traffic between Azerbaijan and Georgia, which was interrupted by a cargo train accident, has resumed, a source at the Georgian Railroad company said.

The cargo train en route from Baku to Georgia had an accident on Saturday. Three oil tanks came off the rail and capsized near the station of Govlar in the Tauz district bordering on Georgia. Up to 30 tonnes of oil were spilled.

Azerbaijani rescuers are cleaning up the spill. The accident is under investigation, a source at the Azerbaijani Emergency Situations Ministry said. Itar-Tass
