Electricity prices to be increased

25 November 2006 [10:44] - TODAY.AZ
"Electricity supply has never been limited in Baku with exception of accidents," Azerenergy President Etibar Pirverdiyev said.

As to the electricity price, the wholesale price is 1.4 kopecks per kilowatt, and retail price is 2 kopecks. He said that the current prices reach 4 kopecks after Russian gas price $110 per 1 000 cubic meters, and mazut price.

"If Russia charge Azerbaijan $230 for 1 000 cu m of gas, the cost price of electricity will be increased," he said, APA reports.
